Looking at the fact that Cloudbet have been one of the few early adopters of blockchain in the betting industry, it makes sense that they are technologically quite advanced. We have tested their mobile website with several different devices like we usually do. This time we used an old Samsung Galaxy S7 and a new iPhone 13. It is probably not worth mentioning that the iPhone had no issues with their mobile website, and everything worked as fast as it possibly could. We are going to focus on how well Cloud bet optimized their website for older devices.
Let’s start by looking at technical performance and requirements. The Samsung phone we used was released way back in 2015, so it is safe to say that it is definitely outdated. Nevertheless, Cloudbet’s mobile website was loading quickly and all pages appeared to be shown exactly as they should. This is partially achieved by how their website is built and how it utilizes your phone’s resources. Most static page elements (frames, icons, etc.) are re-used on every page, so your phone will cache them on your first visit. These cached elements will then be used every time you open a new page. This allows to significantly reduce resource requirements, bandwidth usage and loading times. That’s really as good as it gets when you are using an older phone.
Now, let’s also take a quick look at the UI and its usability. In general the user interface follows all industry-wide standards, so you are unlikely to find any surprises here. There are however some missing things, which I would like to highlight.
Firstly, when you are looking at the sports selection menu, there is no indication of how many games are currently open for betting. Once you open a sport – you can see all available tournaments and the number of games next to each one of them, which is good.
Secondly, when you open up a tournament and look at all the available games – there is no indication of how many markets are open for betting. This might be a bit annoying as there is no real way of telling which games have a lot of markets and which don’t.
As you can see, there are some good aspects here, like their mobile optimization, which is done to the highest standard. As well as that, there are a couple of drawbacks, like the lack of visual indicators in the user interface. Taking all of that into account, it is still fair to say that Cloudbet has a decent mobile betting platform, which works well with pretty much any device.

The interface looks professional and well-built, it is mostly intuitive and easy to get used to. The main thing we would like to point out is the fact that it isn’t as informative at it ideally should be. On the other hand, Cloud bet has a pretty cool overview one you open a sport – all countries and all competitions within each country are shown on the same page. Having everything on a single page is actually quite a good idea and in addition to that, each competition has a number next to it. That number shows how many games are currently available.
Finally, the last thing worth mentioning is the fact that there is no way to know how many markets are open within a game without actually opening it. This looks like something that is potentially easy to improve, however at the moment you might need to spend some extra 2 or 3 minutes opening games one by one.
